15 nabbed, P360,400 worth of ‘shabu’ seized in drug busts

BACOLOD City – Fifteen persons were arrested while P360,400 worth of suspected shabu was seized in separate buy-bust operations here and in Silay City, Negros Occidental in the past three days.

On Thursday, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) -6 Special Enforcement Team dismantled an alleged drug den at Barangay 27 here and arrested 12 individuals.

PDEA identified one of the suspects as alleged drug maintainer Cristina Tovero.

Around 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000, lighters, improvised tooters, and marked money were confiscated from the suspects.

In Silay City, Kerwin Plomines, 40, of Barangay Hawaiian was arrested by police last Wednesday at the said village for the recovery of 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000,the P500 marked money, lighter, and P200 cash.

Also arrested that day in Barangay Lantad was Anthony Espinas, 34, of the said village.

Police seized from him 11 grams of suspected shabu worth P74,800, and the P500 marked money.

On Tuesday, Glenn Comawas, 34, of Barangay Mambulac was arrested at the said village after he allegedly yielded 12 grams of suspected shabu worth P81,600, a lighter, the P500 marked money, and P500 boodle money.
