Yesterday I asked whether there is a gameplan in these new revelations that seek to remove the Yanson 4 from the scene particularly through the filing of trump up charges of murder and other non-bailable crime. Talks of planted evidence, use of bribe funds and manipulation of facts are not claims that can be considered merely an unfounded fear.
Of course, in every situation of conflict there is always fear that the other side might resort to illegal means especially when the matter of contention involves control of billions of pesos worth of businesses and properties. The devil is always ready with its solutions to bring the protagonists to hell and indeed many have fallen into temptation.
Thus there is more reason that Ginnette and Leo Rey should reconcile with their siblings. I don’t see where this new development will all go except to the complete destruction of the family that will be passed on “unto the third and fourth generation” and even farther. This does not include the ripple effect on the employees and the business enterprises of the family.
The article shifted to their mother, Olivia with a question that strikes at the heart of every mother: Can our mother really do this to the four of us?
This seems to suggest that the matriarch of the Yanson family is aware of the alleged plot and had given permission to pursue the deed. The writer continues:
“How can our mother stomach all of these things? How can Mommy Love allow her two children to bully her four other children who also came from her womb? Why has she given all her heart to her Ginnette and Leo Rey and turned her backs on the rest of us? Is she willing to let her four children and some of her grandchildren rot in jail for the crimes they didn’t commit?”
It is a sad lament for if indeed Olivia was permissive if not initiated this alleged plot, then the wounds in her heart had been so deep that it has grown cold and vindictive. Indeed, how can a mother do this? It runs against the nature of a mother to protect her children even at the cost of her own life.
Mothers don’t give life to their children. God gave that life and mothers were so created to care for God’s gift. They are custodians as it were that God gave mothers the instinct to protect and not to destroy. So, as the poet asked, “How answer this brute question…?”
The writer also claims that “the senseless and made-up criminal cases against the Yanson4 were already filed in local courts. However, these were pulled out and are now being handled by the Department of Justice. GinnetteYanson-Dumancas and Leo Rey Yanson are pulling all dirty tricks and spending so much money to manipulate the system.
“Using money and connections, Ginnette and Leo Rey are said to be ‘buying people’ inside the agency so that the cases against the Yanson4 will have probable cause. With probable causes, arrest warrants can be issued against the Yanson4 and some members of the 3rd generation so that they will be sent to jail without bail.”
This revelation puts the justice system of the country in a quandary. In the event they file the case as alleged, then questions of their integrity will surely arise. It is a sad commentary because it is popularly suspected that some scalawags in the justice system are corrupt, the reason many guilty but powerful and wealthy accused had gone scot-free.
So, to reiterate, the unbelieving writer asked: Can our mother really do this to the four of us? If the allegations of Olivia’s participation in this alleged plot are true, then indeed she can go beyond reason. But it might not be so or need not be. It is just the pendulum of a loving heart swinging to the other extreme.
Has the claim of favoritism in the family gone this far? Or is there more than just favoritism as to breach the realm of reason? We cannot fathom the human mind much less the depth of anger that has turned into hate and desire to destroy the object of that hate.
We’ll continue next week.
