BACOLOD City – The head of Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) here made an urgent request via social media for additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as part of the ongoing efforts to contain the coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19.

Dr. Julius Drilon said taking care of one “Patient Under Investigation” requires up to 30 PPEs per day and their current supplies will not be able to last for a week.

Despite the lack of PPEs, Drilon said their services to the public continue.

The hospital is also aiming for a zero COVID-19 casualty for both patients and its staff.

In response to Drilon’s calls, the Negros Occidental Provincial Incident Management Team said the provincial government will give additional PPEs to CLMMRH even though the hospital is managed directly by the Department of Health.
