According to the mayor, the City Hall employees carry with them huge responsibilities as they reflect the quality of public service being rendered to the constituents. Hence, each City Hall has important roles to fill, no matter how small or big the position is, he added.
“Amo na sila ang nagadala sang ngalan sa syudad. Sila na ang guya sang syudad kon maayo ila serbisyo, magapasalamat sa syudad ang mga pumuluyo. Kada hulag naton halin sa pinakagamay nga posisyon asta sa pinakamataas ang ginada;a ta ang guya sang syudad amo ina kadako sang responsibilidad,” he said during the flag ceremony.
The mayor also took pride in recognizing the efforts of the City Hall workers in the past 85 years.
He stressed that the success of the city in the past 85 years can be attributed to the hardworking City Hall employees.
“Akon mapabugal nga gasiling kita 85 years na ang pagcelebrate sang charter day, malayo na ang nalab-utan sang syudad. Malayo ang nalab-utan sang syudad indi bangod sa mga pulitiko kay kami ya we come and go, kis-a gadaog kis-a gapirde. Ang gapabilin kamo kay kamo nga gapadalagan sang gobyerno sa syudad, kamo ang ari diri,” he said.
As the city continues to move forward, he also appealed for cooperation from the employees to achieve the goals and aspirations of the city in the next three years.
“We are trying to do our best in bringing Iloilo City to the next level. I cannot do it alone and together with Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon, we cannot do it. But if we work together, in unison, with a common vision, I have no doubt that we can achieve our dreams,” he added. (DG)
