Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioner Lilia Catris Guillermo lifted the suspension on the conduct of enforcement activities and operations covered by outstanding Mission Orders (MOs) as well as removed the prohibition on the issuance of new MOs authorizing such activities/operations with the issuance of Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 127-2022 on September 7, 2022.
The suspension on the conduct of enforcement activities and operations and the prohibition on the issuance of new MOs were previously ordered by the Commissioner of Internal Revenue on May 30, 2022 under RMC No. 77-2022.
Such enforcement activities/operations include the conduct of ocular inspection, surveillance activities, stock-taking activities; and the implementation of the administrative sanction of suspension and temporary closure of business.
With the resumption of conduct of enforcement activities and operations, internal revenue officers were reminded by Commissioner Guillermo to strictly comply with the existing rules and regulations of the Bureau on the issuance, conduct and implementation of Mission Orders.
