BACOLOD CITY – Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose “Bong” Lacson and Bingoplus Foundation Inc. Executive Director Angela Camins-Wieneke have signed a Deed of Donation for medical equipment to be donated to the provincial government-run Valladolid District Hospital.
The signing took place Wednesday at the Provincial Capitol, witnessed by Provincial Health Officer Dr. Girlie Pinongan and Valladolid District Hospital Chief Dr. Josephine Pahamtang.
The donation includes 20 hospital beds with complete accessories, 20 IV stands, two operating room tables, five wheelchairs, three portable OR lights, 10 adult stethoscopes, three blood pressure apparatuses with stands, and one drop light sensor.
Lacson thanked Bingoplus Foundation Inc. for its generosity, emphasizing that the donation strengthens the province’s healthcare system and brings hope and healing to communities.
“This donation of various medical equipment to the Valladolid District Hospital is a testament to what can be achieved when the private sector and the government work together for the common good,” Lacson said.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) led the distribution of livelihood assistance for solo parents and subsidies for retired child development workers earlier this week.
Lacson, along with PSWDO personnel, spearheaded the activity at the Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City.
Thirty-four solo parents received PHP5,000 each, while 19 retired child development workers were given PHP10,000 each.
Lacson expressed gratitude for their contributions and commitment to shaping the future of children and making a positive impact in their communities.
