Bacolod police cited for crime clearance, solution efficiency

BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) was recognized on Aug 5, 2019 for getting the highest rating on crime clearance and crime solution efficiency in Western Visayas in the first and second quarters of this year.

Police Colonel Henry Biñas, BCPO director, and Police Liuetenant Jonito Pastrana, officer-in-charge of the BCPO Investigation and Detection Management Section (IDMS), received the PNP Efficiency Medal (Medalya ng Kasanayan) from Police Major General Elmo Francis Sarona, director for Investigation and Detection Management of the PNP, during the flag raising ceremony at Police Regional Office (PRO) – 6 headquarters in Iloilo City.

Records from PRO-6 showed that BCPO garnered 90.90 percent for the crime clearance efficiency, wherein all cases were filed against those identified suspects, though they were not arrested.

The city police force also got 85.03 percent for the crime solution efficiency. This means that all suspects were arrested and charged for their crimes.

The accomplishment of the BCPO led to the attainment of its mission and vision for a safe and peaceful region, according to PRO-6.

For his part, Biñas expressed his gratitude for the said recognition and commended the BCPO personnel for their efforts in helping solve crimes in their respective areas.
