The Basilan Jumbo Plastic Peace Riders completed a phenomenal and magical season in the recently concluded 2021 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup Mindanao Leg.

After an undefeated regular season, the Peace Riders put the cherry on top after sweeping the Petra Cement-Roxas squad in their Mindanao leg finals to end the tournament with an impressive 10-0 record.

“Talagang napakasarap nitong championship na ito kasi nandito ka lang sa liga during a pandemic, you’re one of the fortunate na,” said Basilan head coach Jerson Cabiltes.

The formidable Basilan core led by Finals MVP Chris Bitoon and Mindanao leg MVP Hesed Gabo was too much for every team who joined the division as they just didn’t stand a chance against the stacked Peace Riders.

Even the star-studded Clarin team composed of former PBA snipers John Wilson and Carlo Lastimosa couldn’t do anything to penetrate Basilan.

With the huge Mindanao leg victory, the Peace Riders will take home a grand prize of 500,000 pesos courtesy of Chooks-to-Go.

However, the job is still not done for the Peace Riders as the highly-anticipated Southern division finals against Visayas champs KCS-Mandaue is about to go down today.

The highlight finals clash event will be a best-of-five duel where Basilan will seek to extend their winning streak against Ping Exciminiano and Al Francis Tamsi’s Mandaue team.
