BACOLOD CITY – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) arrested four alleged drug pushers and seized 281 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 1,910,800 in buy-bust operations conducted on March 6 and 7.

The first operation, led by Police Station 7, took place on Thursday night in Barangay Vista Alegre, resulting in the arrest of two suspects and the confiscation of 11 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP 74,800.

Both suspects were identified as street-level individuals (SLIs).

Early the following day, alias “Al,” 40, of Barangay Mansilingan, was apprehended in Barangay 2 after allegedly being caught with 200 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 1,360,000.

Police Major Eugene Tolentino, head of Police Station 2, said the suspect had been under surveillance since last year, but authorities waited until they had positively verified reports of his alleged illegal drug transactions.

Tolentino added that the recovered illegal drugs were sourced from outside Negros Occidental, particularly in Luzon.

The suspect allegedly distributed the drugs in Barangays Singcang-Airport, Banago, Handumanan, and Vista Alegre.

In another operation, the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) arrested a 21-year-old man in Barangay Handumanan early Friday, leading to the confiscation of 70 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 476,000.

The BCPO stated that these arrests reflect the unwavering dedication of Bacolod’s law enforcement officers in combating illegal drugs and ensuring public safety.
