BSP’s enhanced website wins Central Banking Award

The enhanced website of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has won the “Website of the Year” award from “Central Banking Publications.”

The “Central Banking Awards” highlight the outstanding performance and achievements of individuals and organizations within the central banking community.

“The upgrade of bsp.gov.ph is integral to our broader initiative to bring the BSP closer to the Filipino people. Thus, in making it a more potent tool for central bank communication, we also optimize its potential for financial empowerment by incorporating in it our chatbot for consumer welfare,” said BSP Governor Benjamin E. Diokno.

“This recognition further motivates us to continue to reform, innovate, and transform the BSP’s operations and services in line with the dynamic and digital New Economy,” the Governor added.

The Central Banking awards committee noted that the BSP has significantly improved its website and has put members of the public front and center as part of the website redesign.

“Not only has the site been made responsive to the growing number of mobile visitors, but a greater emphasis on explaining the central bank’s core functions is also evident. The judges were also impressed with the central bank’s eagerness to deploy new types of technology – notably artificial intelligence – to make the user journey easier,” said Christopher Jeffery, the committee’s chairman.

Central Banking Publications is a financial publisher specializing in public policy and financial markets, with emphasis on central banks, international financial institutions and financial market infrastructure and regulation.
