Cabbie falls in P213K drug sting

A suspected drug peddler who doubles as a taxi driver was arrested in a police anti-narcotics operation morning of June 27, 2022 in Jaro, Iloilo City.

Police identified the suspect as Felix Enore, 46, a resident of Barangay Cato-ogan, Pototan, Iloilo.

Enore was nabbed after allegedly selling a sachet of suspected shabu for P1,100 to a police poseur-buyer at Barangay Balabago, Jaro.

Recovered from Enore were six sachets of suspected shabu, a mobile phone, a wallet containing P700 cash, and other non-drug items.

The total illegal drugs seized weighed around 31.4 grams and valued at P213,520.

The Iloilo City Police Station 3 considered Enore as a newly identified drug personality although he had a previous record for robbery.

A one-week surveillance was conducted prior to the suspect’s arrest.

While he did not admit to owning the seized drugs, Enore allegedly intimated that he used drugs to keep him wake while driving his cab.

He is now detained and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
