CARD MRI shortens banking hours in NCR and other provinces

CARD MRI established digital communities where its clients can connect to the internet for free so that they can access konek2CARD for banking transactions.

As NCR and the provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal are placed under general community quarantine for two weeks starting March 22, 2021, the banking group of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI) will be immediately implementing shortened banking hours and will continuously practice proper health and safety protocols in accordance to the IATF’s guidelines. This is to limit physical interaction and reduce the risk of the  virus transmission as COVID-19 cases continue to rise.

“We have learned how to effectively and efficiently serve our clients despite the challenges of community quarantines. We have learned how to adapt to the new normal, enabling us to implement the best practices tailor-fit to the needs of the communities we serve,” CARD MRI Managing Director Flordeliza L. Sarmiento said.

She further mentions that CARD MRI clients can continuously do banking transactions like loan payments, fund transfer, and bills payment through the konek2CARD application. konek2CARD agents are also located in communities to assist clients in transactions such as cash in, cash out, loan payments, and bills payment. Further, digital communities were established by the banking group in order to provide free internet access to communities wherein internet connectivity is limited.

“CARD MRI is one with the government in promoting proper health and safety protocols due to the recent surge in the number of COVID-19 cases. We will do our best to provide a safer and more convenient way of serving our clients amidst the on-going health crisis,” Sarmiento concluded.

The CARD MRI Banking Group is composed of CARD Bank, CARD SME Bank, and CARD Rizal Bank. Collectively, the group has more than 7 Million clients nationwide including the clients of CARD, Inc. (a microfinance NGO).
