Johnriel Casimero and his camp are eager to get back in the ring immediately after defeating one of the sport’s savviest tacticians in Guillermo Rigondeaux.

This time, Casimero and Manny Pacquiao (MP) Promotions president Sean Gibbons are going after the halted negotiations between their camp and Nonito Donaire Jr.

To recall, the All-Filipino bantamweight clash was already previously scheduled but had to be scrapped due to a back-and-forth verbal tussle on social media.

Donaire Jr. took the verbal insults of Casimero’s camp as personal and immediately announced their withdrawal from the fight.

Now that Casimero passed the hurdle of the Cuban legend, Gibbons will be trying to arrange the fight once again and is targeting December for the mega-fight.

However, Casimero already announced that he will be taking on Naoya Inoue but Gibbons said he prefers the Filipino bantamweight sensation to take Donaire first.

Casimero’s head trainer Nonoy Neri also wanted to have a crack at Inoue this coming December but is leaving the work and negotiations to Gibbons.
