Cebu Pacific has officially relaunched its direct flights between Manila and Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
The service, which will operate three times a week, was celebrated with a festive ceremony at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on August 16, 2024.
Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista and other key officials, including Civil Aeronautics Board Executive Director Atty. Carmelo Arcilla, graced the event, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s expansion efforts.
“The relaunch of this route is more than just the restoration of a connection between two vibrant cities. It is a reaffirmation of our commitment to bringing people together, fostering closer ties, and promoting mutual growth and development,” said Michael Ivan Shau, Cebu Pacific’s Chief Corporate Affairs Officer.
The Manila-Kaohsiung route will now be serviced every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, enhancing connectivity between the Philippines and Taiwan. This move is part of Cebu Pacific’s broader strategy to expand its network across Asia, providing passengers with more travel options.
Transportation Secretary Bautista praised Cebu Pacific’s continuous expansion, aligning with the government’s objectives of offering “comfortable, accessible, safe, sustainable, and affordable travel experiences” to the public.
To celebrate the relaunch, Cebu Pacific is offering a special seat sale for the Manila-Kaohsiung route, with fares starting at PHP 1,288 one-way, exclusive of fees and surcharges. The promotional period runs from August 16 to 25, 2024, for travel until January 31, 2025.
Cebu Pacific currently operates flights to 35 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East, reinforcing its role as a major player in the region’s aviation sector.
