The Cignal HD Spikers continued their undefeated run in the 2022 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) after taking down the Choco Mucho Flying Titans in just four sets, 20-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-16.

After a slow start in the first set, the HD Spikers quickly redeemed themselves and rode a fiery offensive rhythm that clicked in the next three sets of their showdown.

Ces Molina looked like a woman on a mission as she turned back the hands of time against the younger Choco Mucho team that looked invincible after the first set.

Cignal’s head coach Shaq Delos Santos then made the right adjustments in the second set and began to feed the waxing hot Molina who outsmarted the tall Choco Mucho frontline led by Bea De Leon and Kat Tolentino.

“Siguro more on usap lang din muna yung team kasi siyempre kasi kailangan mas magprepare kami ngayon. Hindi mas magiging madali yung magiging sitwasyon. And talagang kailangan magprepare kami mabuti, then kailangan din namin ng magandang recovery,” said coach Delos Santos.

Veteran leader and outside hitter Rachel Anne Daquis also continued her stellar performance streak after chipping in 10 points, 12 digs, and six receptions.

Meanwhile, for the Choco Mucho squad, Tolentino paced the team with 19 huge points backstopped by Aduke Ogunsanya who had 10 successful attacks.

With the win, Cignal already acquired a twice-to-beat advantage in Group A come playoffs time while also handing Choco Mucho their first loss of the season.
