After putting up a massive $34,330,068 million prize pool last year, Valve broke its own record and revealed the $40,018,178 million prize pool for the upcoming The International 10 (TI10).
Despite canceling The International this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Valve organizers found this as an opportunity for more preparations heading into TI10.
As of now, Valve has yet to release the new date of TI10 but most anticipate it to happen in 2021 when the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic is believed to be better.
TI10 organizers are also set to announce whether they will follow their old format of the tournament where all the competing teams will be hosted in a specific place with fans or if they will switch to the online platform where everything will be done virtually.
With the pandemic still going on, flight and border restrictions are continuing to get stricter and stricter as part of the safety protocol of other countries.
With the Dota 2 Battle Plus already ending, Valve organizers will deploy the final updates heading into the new season which includes guild updates and a new MMR format.
