DTI Brings Negosyo Center CARE to Guimaras

In a continued effort to empower local communities through accessible business development services, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through the Negosyo Center in Nueva Valencia, brought its NC Mobile CARE Program—Consultancy, Advocacy, Registration, and E-commerce—to Barangay Cabalagnan, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras on April 22, 2025.

The initiative gathered 67 participants, including youth, micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) owners, senior citizens, and Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries.

Participants aimed to explore opportunities, expand their entrepreneurial knowledge, and take steps toward sustainable livelihoods.

They received practical insights on DTI programs and services, consumer rights and responsibilities, financial literacy, the promotion of Green Economic Development (Pro-GED), and financing options through the Small Business Corporation.

One participant successfully registered a business name on-site, marking a concrete first step toward formalizing her venture.

Through the NC Mobile CARE Program, DTI and its network of Negosyo Centers continue to push for inclusive growth by delivering business resources and support directly to local communities.

By reaching grassroots areas like Barangay Cabalagnan, the program helps spark entrepreneurship and build economic resilience, one barangay at a time.
