
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Guimaras partnered with Guimaras State University (GSU) – College of Business Management to conduct the seminar “Start-Up Essentials: Understanding Entrepreneurship and DTI Programs & Services” for fourth-year BS Entrepreneurship students on March 7, 2025.
GSU sought assistance from DTI Guimaras to hold the seminar as part of the students’ Project Implementation II subject.
The event aimed to equip students with practical knowledge on starting and managing a business while providing an in-depth understanding of DTI programs and services available to support entrepreneurs.
DTI Guimaras representatives Rejoice Orquia, Ruth Penuela, and Christine Eleccion served as resource speakers. They discussed key entrepreneurship concepts and various government programs aspiring business owners can access.
The discussion focused on preparing students for real-world business challenges and guiding them in launching their start-up ventures.
DTI Guimaras extended its appreciation to GSU – College of Business Management for the collaboration.
