Iloilo 4th District Representative-elect Ferjenel Biron and Dumangas Mayor Ronaldo Golez led the groundbreaking ceremony of the Dumangas Coastal Boardwalk in Dumangas, Iloilo on Tuesday.
The construction of the P45-million boardwalk includes a seawall and coastal embankment that would protect residents from inundation by tidal waves and storm surges.
“This project will soon be a prime Tourist Destination as Dumangas is presently dubbed as a Food Destination in the province of Iloilo as the guests and visitors enjoy the Cleanest and Freshest Seabreeze of Guimaras Strait and Visayan sea with a Romantic ambiance of Sunrise to Sunset near the Dumangas Port,” Gomez said in a Facebook post.
