Therefore, Eastern Communications through their Via Eastern launch also took the opportunity to share relevant insights among MSMEs particularly on strengthening competence by utilizing digital technology. Guest speaker Gaston talked about ANP’s livelihood project in Negros and other rural communities with a goal of helping businesses, especially agri-businesses, thrive through giving them various platforms where they can advertise, sell products, and expand their market.

Presenting Hacienda Crafts Company as one of its case studies, Gaston highlighted how the community-based manufacturer was able to grow their business through leveraging digital. While agri-businesses are open for digital transformation, Gaston shared that in the past years the lack of connectivity posed challenges for owners to even use technology for their advantage, hence, having a reliable connectivity solutions partner would potentially open more opportunities for Negros-based enterprises.
