Education USA to host Education Fair in Manila

MANILA EducationUSA, the U.S. government’s official resource for students interested in pursuing higher education opportunities in the United States, will host its annual education fair in Manila on Thursday, February 27, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Podium Hall in Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City.

The EducationUSA Fair will feature more than 20 U.S. colleges and universities.

The fair provides an opportunity for students, parents, and school administrators to interact with admissions officers from a variety of U.S. colleges and universities to learn about academic programs and opportunities.

Participants can also learn about the U.S. college application processes, scholarship and financial aid options, and steps to apply for a student visa.  This event is free and open to the public.

EducationUSA provides free advising services to prospective international students in more than 170 countries and offers students resources and tools to help navigate the five steps to U.S. study: researching schools, identifying financing, completing the application, obtaining a student visa, and preparing for departure.

There are more than 4,700 accredited higher education institutions in the United States, and an EducationUSA adviser can help students narrow their options, define their priorities, and plan their college careers.

EducationUSA does not offer scholarships, but can assist students in identifying scholarship and financial assistance opportunities.

EducationUSA is partnering with The Podium and GMA News Online for the fair.
