Eight more COVID-19 cases in Roxas City

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – This city reported 8 cases of the coronavirus disease (COVD-19).

This was confirmed on Aug 2, 2020 by Roxas City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.

Citing a bulletin from the Department of Health (DOH), Dadivas said the new cases were detected through the RT-PCR tests on repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFW) who went home via a sweeper flight provided from Manila to Iloilo.

Dadivas revealed that the positive COVID-19 cases were immediately brought to the quarantine facility of this city.

The new cases are:

-a 28-year-old male OFW repatriate, resident of Tiza, Roxas City and has a history of travel to Kuwait and Manila;

-a 43-year-old Seafarer in Kuwait and Doha, Qatar and resident of Punta Tabuc;

-a 50-year-old male Seafarer from Tanque and has a history of travel from Kuwait and Doha, Qatar;

-a 29-year-old nurse from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and resident of Brgy. Milibili;

-a 50-year-old seafarer and resident of Brgy. Tiza and has travel history from Japan, Cebu and Manila;

-a 37-year-old male OFW from Jeddah and resident of Brgy. 1;

-a 33-year-old lady nurse from Kuwait and resident of Brgy. Tiza;

-a 36-year-old OFW from Saudi and resident of Punta Tabuc.
