After signing with Manny Pacquiao (MP) Promotions to secure his career after the Tokyo Olympics, national athlete Eumir Marcial knows what path he is destined for.

MP Promotions president Sean Gibbons revealed that to be the new face of boxing, you have to be under the one who molded the current king.

Marcial will be training under the legend and magic of none other than coach Freddie Roach, Pacman’s chief orchestrator and the architect behind his success.

MP is hoping that Marcial will be able to follow Pacquiao’s footsteps in becoming the only eight-division world champion.

However, some boxing personalities said that Marcial’s decision of signing with MP is too early and should do it after the Tokyo Olympics.

With many people criticizing Marcial’s move of going professional, president Gibbons wants everybody to look at the bigger picture.

“Our first goal with Eumir is to come here and work under the tutelage of Mr. Freddie Roach to really get better and focus on the Olympics,” said Gibbons.

Marcial and MP promotions are working hand-in-hand not only to help the latter with his future, but to also clinch the gold medal heading into the Olympics.

“The professional debut, that’s just a process of him getting better going towards the Olympics,” added Gibbons.
