The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers notched their second straight win after sweeping the Galeries Tower, 25-15, 25-22, 25-17, in the ongoing Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference last October 28, 2023, held at the Candon City Arena.
Fresh off a momentum-boosting win over the NXLED Chameleons last October 24, 2023, the Cargo Movers picked up where they left off and put on an offensive show to blank Galeries in three sets.
Despite the absence of Kim Dy due to an injury and Myla Pablo because of flu-like symptoms, F2 Logistics banked on their balanced attack and got valuable contributions from their bench.
Ara Galang, one of the veteran outside spikers of the squad, turned back the hands of time and led the Cargo Movers with 14 points built from 11 successful attacks.
Aside from her offensive prowess, the former DLSU standout and UAAP champion also stuffed the stat sheets with 12 excellent digs, nine excellent receptions, and two service aces.
Galang spearheaded F2’s dominant midgame run in the opening set after converting on three consecutive hits while also sealing the game with a couple of defensive digs.
Galeries countered back with their own offensive barrage in the following set but F2 Logistics’ gallant stand on the defensive end in the last five possessions won them the set.
The Cargo Movers then ramped their intensity up in the third and final frame, dominating the Galeries with their timely offensive executions on their way to a 2-1 win-loss record.
Jolina Dela Cruz also delivered for the Cargo Movers, dropping 11 points and five excellent receptions while seasoned middle blocker Majoy Baron chipped in 10 points and two blocks.
F2 Logistics will have the chance to extend their winning streak to three games as they set up a clash with the Petro Gazz Angels on November 2, 2023.
