BACOLOD City – Four persons, including two cousins were arrested while P2,174,800 worth of suspected shabu were seized in separate buy-bust operations here in the past two days.

On June 3, three men, including two cousins were apprehended after police seized from them 300 grams of suspected shabu worth P2.1 million in an apartment at Rosario Heights Subdivision, Barangay Taculing.

Police identified the subject as Jason Javelosa, 30, of Barangay Mansilingan here.

Police Captain John Christopher Masangkay, head of Police Station 5, said that Javelosa is considered a high value individual since he was arrested in 2018 for a drug offense and because of the huge volume of drug recovery.

Masangkay said that Javelosa reportedly gets his drug supply outside the city, adding that he serves as a “bodegero” or stock keeper.

“Ga rent lang siya balay kay ga saylo-saylo siya para indi siya ma monitor,” he added.

Javelosa’s friends and alleged clients in the illegal drug trade were identified as cousins – John Vergel Orquia, 22, and John Matthew Toleo, 25, both residents of Barangay Taculing.

However, Masangkay said they are just new in the said illegal activity.

“Indi siya (Javelosa) dali sudlon kay dapat amigo niya na makatransact niya,” the station commander said.

Police also confiscated from them the P1,000 marked money, a weighing scale, plastic container, pouch, and P600. The operation was also in coordination with the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU).

A day prior to the said operation, personnel of Police Station 7 also arrested Aiko Fernandez, 33, of Barangay Mansilingnan.

Police recovered from her nine sachets of suspected shabu weighing 11 grams worth P74,800, the P500 marked money, pouch, and P390.

Javelosa denied the allegation against him in a media interview, while three others have yet to be reached for comment.
