The Iloilo Business Expo (ILOBEX) 2024 concluded at the Iloilo Convention Center, setting the stage for future business ventures, partnerships, and innovations.
The event, which ran from July 25 to 28, showcased the region’s burgeoning entrepreneurial spirit and potential for economic growth.
Iloilo City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas, representing the city’s leadership, emphasized the significance of the event during the opening ceremonies.
“Iloilo has come a long way since its humble beginnings. ILOBEX 2024 is a testament to our commitment to fostering a vibrant business community and exploring new ventures,” he said.
Dr. Raul Banias, speaking on behalf of Iloilo Gov. Arthur “Toto” Defensor, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the collaborative efforts between local government and businesses.
“Our partnerships with private enterprises and organizations are crucial in driving economic progress in Iloilo,” Banias noted.
Throughout the event, exhibits featured various business models, franchise schemes, and innovative product concepts.
From electronic gadgets to household tools, the diversity of displays reflected the dynamic approaches Ilonggos are taking to address business challenges and seize new opportunities.
The event’s highlight was a talk show presented by Mr. and Ms. PH Youth Iloilo 2024, titled “Essence of Ilonggo Entrepreneurship from the Youth’s Perspective.”
The session brought together young entrepreneurs to share their bold ideas and inspire their peers.
“We are driven by a desire to innovate and contribute to our community’s growth,” one participant said.
PCCI President Consul Eunina V. Mangio praised the event’s success and its role in promoting entrepreneurship.
“ILOBEX 2024 has been a platform for exchanging ideas and forging new partnerships. The energy and enthusiasm of our business community are truly remarkable,” Mangio said.
As the curtains closed on ILOBEX 2024, organizers expressed gratitude to the guests, investors, and business owners for their participation.
“The entrepreneurial spirit continues to thrive and prosper in Iloilo. We look forward to ILOBEX 2025 with anticipation for new products, industries, and ideas,” they said.
