Iloilo’s MB Dance Academy hauled nine gold medals, five silvers, and five bronze medals in the 8th Geraldine Darvine’s Online Dancesport Competition.

This is after head trainer Matthew Balbastro and his team had just come from the 3rd Central Luzon Cental Ball last month with 20 gold medals.

Zoe Alexandria Lanceta, Dana Angelica Galfo, John Kevin Sabuero, Bryant Stefano Embalsado, Mary Ysabelle Cartagena, John Michael Tamudtamud, Joemel Jan Yap Magallanes, and Leanne Reigh Lanceta all brought the gold medals for MB and Iloilo City.

Silver medal finishers were Bridgette Anne Libo-on, Galfo, Magallanes, Leanna Lanceta, and Zoe Lanceta.

Meanwhile, those who managed to clinch the third-place were Cartagena, Embalsado, and Kate Jaramillo.

The team credited coach Tanco’s dedication for their incredible performances. The team is looking to join as many competitions as they can with the COVID-19 pandemic halting the face-to-face competitions in dance sports.

Coach Tanco is a registered Radiologic Technologist, a member of the Dancesport Council of the Philippines, and is currently taking up Doctor of Dental Medicine.
