After one month of layoff, the Iloilo MB Dance Academy showed no signs of rust and made waves in the recently concluded 2021 King’s Cup Taipei Open dance sports competition.

The Iloilo-based dance sports squad put on an impressive performance and collected two gold medals, one silver, while nine made it as finalists in the international tournament.

In the Open Solo Under 10 category, Zoe Alexandria Lanceta clinched the gold medal while Dana Angelica Galfo achieved the same feat in the Open Solo Under 18.

Meanwhile, the lone silver medalist for team MB Dance was Joemel Yap Magallanes in the Open Solo Under 16 category.

The prized dancers who managed to land as finalists in their respective categories are Jag Sarate, Leanne Reigh Lanceta, Bryant Stefano Embalsado, Mary Ysabelle Cartagena, and Sabryna Hailey Gabasa.

For the Solo Open Under 14 and 16, John Kevin Sabuero, Syhara Jayden Gabasa, Bridgette Anne Libo-on, and Khaye Formon were the finalists.

It was once again a job well done for head trainer Matthew Cutanco Balbastro as he led his team to another spectacular finish for the third time this year.
