The Iloilo Kisela Knights tasted defeat for the first time in the Professional Chess Association of the Philippines (PCAP) against one of the strongest squads in the tournament, fellow Western Visayas representative, the Negros Kingsmen.

Entering the fourth leg with the same untainted record, the Kingsmen used a strong Rapid category scoring to outlast the Kisela Knights, 9-12.

Iloilo got the better of Negros in the Blitz category, edging them 4-3 but the Negrenses surged back and took over in the Rapid, 5-9.

Manager and head trainer Hyubert P. Canto bared to the Daily Guardian that they will bounce back from their first-ever loss in the PCAP tournament and have already started to strategize their game plan for their rematch in March 2021.

After their loss to the Kingsmen, the Kisela Knights regrouped for their second match on Day four and was able to hold-off Surigao Fianchetto checkmates, 17.5-3.5.

With the current loss, the Kisela Knights now hold a record of 6-1 and will go back to the drawing board after their first-ever loss in the tourney.
