Iloilo City’s startup ecosystem celebrated a major milestone as three local ventures secured top honors at the Moonshot TNK Startup Pitching Competition. The event, which serves as a platform for emerging entrepreneurs to pitch their innovative solutions, saw standout performances from Ilonggo entrepreneurs.
FILARB Waste Management Services clinched the Best Tech Startup award, taking home PHP 30,000.
The Best in Pitch award went to Kabaro App, while Hydroq was named Best in Green Tech, with both receiving PHP 10,000 each.
In addition to cash prizes, the winners will be connected with potential investors and guided through Technology Business Incubators to help scale their businesses.
FILARB Waste Management Services, recognized for its tech-driven approach to addressing waste management issues, aims to make environmental sustainability more accessible to communities.
Hydroq’s recognition in Green Tech reflects its focus on water sustainability, while Kabaro App stood out for its exceptional pitch presentation.
Among the other finalists were startups like Smart Path Tutoring, Incubator 4.0, and PrintXPress, which all showcased innovative ideas that have the potential to drive significant local and regional impact.
The Moonshot TNK Startup Pitching Competition highlighted the growing entrepreneurial landscape in Iloilo and Western Visayas, which continues to be a hotbed of innovation.
