ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 27-year-old Indian national was arrested Monday afternoon in his house for alleged sexual molestation of a lady employee.
The police identified the suspect as Navjot Singh of Brgy. Poblacion Norte in Ivisan, Capiz.
Singh was arrested by officers of the PNP-Anti Kidnapping Group and Ivisan Municipal Police Station.
Singh is facing two counts of rape with no bail recommended.
Major Nestor Aceboche, team leader of PNP-AKG, said Singh and his fellow Indian national were charged for allegedly raping a lady worker of their lending company inside an apartment at Brgy. Mongpong here.
The other suspect, a certain Singh, was able to return to India.
Judge Lorenzito Diaz of the Regional Trial Court Branch 17 in Roxas City issued the arrest warrant on April 5, 2021.
The suspect is presently detained at the Ivisan police station.
