ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The provincial government of Capiz on Monday formally opened the Kabalaka Isolation Facility or Temporary Treatment Monitoring Facility (TTMF) at the Capiz Gymnasium here.
Capiz Gov. Esteban Evan Nonoy Contreras led the blessing of the facility for asymptomatic COVID-19 patients of the province.
The facility was designed and set-up with 48 modular cube tents based on the recommendation of the Department of Health (DOH) and medical experts.
It is equipped with 2 flat screen TVs, WiFi connection, an air cooler, water dispenser and comfort rooms.
Contreras said the facilities could help the different local government units (LGU) curb and flatten the rising cases of COVID-19 in the province of Capiz.
According to Capiz Police Provincial director Colonel Julio Gustilo Jr, police officers will secure the facility for 24 hours to prevent unauthorized individuals from entering.
Also joining the blessing were former governors Jose Ting Borda, Vicente Bermejo, Victor Tanco, and Esteban Dodoy Contreras who is now mayor of Pontevedra.
