ROXAS CITY, Capiz – 93 members of the Ivisan Pedicab Operators and Drivers Association (IPODA) have received trisikads from the Department Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) under its Livelihood Assistance Grant (LAG).

The distribution was held Monday morning beside the municipal hall of Ivisan. A blessing officiated by the parish priest was held before the release to the beneficiaries.

Aside from trisikads, the beneficiaries also received caps, neon vests, belt bags, and identification cards.

The local government unit of Ivisan under Mayor Felipe Neri Yap also gave six kilos of rice, free insurance coverage for one year, and one-year business permit and trisikads plate.

The beneficiaries will also be enrolled with the Alkansya Program of the Social Security System (SSS) wherein everyone are encouraged to allocate P14-15 every day for their monthly contribution.

The LAG program was possible through the DSWD-Sustainable Livelihood Program with the LGU of Ivisan.
