It seemed like Jack Animam’s magical season in the First Women’s Basketball League of Serbia is already done.

After missing several games in her basketball club Radnicki Kragujevac, Spin.ph confirmed that the six-foot-two Filipina superstar is set for an operation on her left knee due to ACL & MCL injuries.

The procedure, scheduled to be done this week in Cincinnati, Ohio, will sideline the Bulakenya for at least six months

It was a stellar start for Animam after dominating the league in her first three games while also recording three straight double-double performances.

In her very first game, Animam was her dominant self after finishing with 20 points and 14 rebounds against Serbian powerhouse team ZKK Proleter 023 while also clinching the stunning 78-77 victory.

In the next game, Animam was still unstoppable and shot the lights out with 29 points and 12 rebounds but eventually lost at the hands of defending champions ZKK Crvena Zvezda.

Animam proved to be a worthy Asian import in Serbia after averaging 20 points and 14.3 rebounds in her total games played and was the main gunner of Radnicki.

A couple of months ago, Animam said she is eyeing a Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) draft spot.

Flying to Serbia was one of her steps in improving her game while also learning from her handlers in the East West Private in the United States, the same agency that took care of Kai Sotto, Cholo Anonuevo, and Kobe Paras.
