ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Office of the President’s Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD) bestowed the “BALANGAY SEAL OF EXCELLENCE” award on Jamindan town following the declaration of its 30 barangays as drug cleared.

Jamindan had been declared a Drug Cleared Municipality on Nov 29, 2022.

Mayor Mac Valdemar received the award together with Municipal Local Government Operations Officer IV Joy Rino Balad-on, Dr. Antonio Emilio Orocio III of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and Police Captain Tobias Garfin.

Jamindan is one of the four local government unit (LGU)-awardees in Western Visayas.

The recognition is also the result of the help and coordination of all government agencies including the local government of Jamindan, the 30 barangays, and the people of Jamindan.

The declaration was based on the virtual deliberation by regional officials of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Philippine National Police (PNP).
