North Carolina-based Ilonggo couple Joseph “Joey” Emmanuel Banno, a medical laboratory scientist, and Dr. Jim Jaralene Porquez celebrated their elegant and joy-filled wedding with a grand dinner dance reception at the Iloilo Convention Center.
A red carpet entrance welcomed family and friends who traveled from around the world to witness their special day.
The reception was a dream come true for the newlyweds, featuring a stunning setup by internationally renowned eventologist Robert Blancaflor.
The venue was adorned with imported fresh flowers, cascading chandeliers draped in white fabric, crystal candelabras, and state-of-the-art lighting.
The evening was a perfect mix of emotion and excitement, with no detail spared to ensure guests had an unforgettable experience.
From witty banter by a lively DJ, delectable food, and vibrant entertainment—which included couple games, surprise performances, and monster cocktails from the open bar—the night led to plenty of singing and dancing.
The newlyweds expressed their heartfelt gratitude, saying: “We believe in the solemnity of our union, made even more special by the presence of our dear friends and family. We woke up with overwhelming joy and gratitude to God and our loved ones. Joey and Jim are living a love story meant to last a lifetime. Cheers to love, happiness, and forever!”
The wedding was officiated by His Eminence, Jose Fuerte Cardinal Advincula, and Rev. Fr. Antonio Fuerte Arinquin at Santa Maria Parish Church in Iloilo City.
