JALANDONI Memorial National High School Arnis Team is still unbeatable in the Iloilo City School Sports Council Meet for 10 years now.
Jalandoni’s Arnis team dominated in both the secondary boys’ and girls’ event by taking all six gold medals in the ANYO event, 3 gold in the Full Contact Event Girls, and 3 gold in the Full Contact Boys.
Jaevan Susal was the most bemedalled athlete garnering 8 gold medals.
Other gold medalists from JMNHS are: Joanna May Arancillo– 7, Sarah Marie Abrigana – 4, Argin Lizardo – 3, Josah Dominique Victoriano – 2, Dane Niel Christoff Gumayan – 5, and Ian Romualdez – 4.
The coach of JMNHS Secondary girls is Florence Depositario with Aileen Perosia as chaperon while Donald Roland Dela Torre coached the Secondary boys, Head Trainer of JMNHS Arnis Team is Mr. Bonnie Celendro. The Girls Trainer is Keziah May Sumiran while the Boys Trainer is Roselle Pearl De Leon.
The team will represent Iloilo City in the upcoming Iloilo Integrated Meet 2019 in December.
The Secondary Girls team previously participated in the 2019 Palarong Pambansa in Davao City last May.
Both the Boys and Girls team were also winners in the Batang Pinoy National Championship held in Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan in August 2019.
