Jobstreet by SEEK has partnered with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for the 2024 Philippine National Skills Competition, focusing on enhancing job-seeking skills for Senior High School (SHS) and Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) learners.
The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between education and employment by providing career counseling, resume writing guidance, and interview strategies to prepare students for the digital job market.
“This partnership with WorldSkills Philippines by TESDA serves as a crucial stepping stone for SHS and TVET learners who will eventually become the country’s future workforce,” said Dannah Majarocon, managing director of Jobstreet by SEEK in the Philippines.
She added that the initiative is aimed at improving job security by equipping students with essential skills for navigating the increasingly digital job market.
The partnership was highlighted through career talks held during the 2024 Philippine National Skills Competition at the World Trade Center in Pasay.
These included sessions on resume building and job interview techniques led by Anni Basinga, Jobstreet by SEEK’s country HR manager, as well as discussions on remote work and overseas opportunities.
Jobstreet also emphasized its use of AI-driven technology to match job seekers with opportunities that align with their skill sets.
“With Jobstreet by SEEK’s platform, we are using the power of AI for better talent matches,” Basinga explained.
The initiative underscores Jobstreet’s commitment to supporting job seekers, particularly SHS and TVET students, as they prepare to enter a competitive job market.
