The tagged best mixed martial artist of the past decade continues to surprise people and the whole UFC community.
After a long reign in the light-heavyweight title, Jon “Bones” Jones shockingly tweeted that he will be vacating his belt.
“Today I confirm that I’m vacating the light heavyweight championship. It’s officially up for grabs. It’s been an amazing journey, sincere thank you to all my competition, UFC and most importantly you fans,” tweeted Jones.
Moments after Jones’ tweet about leaving the light-heavyweight division, he then followed it up with a hint of contesting for the heavyweight belt.
“Sounds like there will be negotiations for my next fight at heavy weight. All good news, the weight gaining process begins,” Jones tweeted again.
Previously, Jones already demanded a clash with former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar but president White completely turned down his request.
“Heavyweight world championships I will be seeing you real soon. For some reason these heavyweights don’t seem so big to me tonight. Avoid Stipe’s right hand, I’m too fast, I’ll be too strong when the time is right and have way too much energy. Soon and very soon I’ll be considered the baddest man on this planet,” Jones followed up.
