Foot Locker is opening its doors at Festive Walk Mall in Iloilo City on Friday, November 29, 2024, bringing some of the world’s top athletic and streetwear brands closer to sneaker enthusiasts, athletes, and casual wearers alike.
Located on the ground floor of Festive Walk Mall, Foot Locker offers a range of activewear and footwear brands including Nike, Adidas, Vans, Puma, HOKA, Converse, Asics, and New Balance.
True to Foot Locker’s signature style, employees donned the brand’s instantly recognizable striped uniforms, reminiscent of referees’ shirts
The opening marks Foot Locker’s second store in Iloilo City and its fourth in the Visayas and Mindanao regions. Notably, Iloilo City is the only location in the Visayas with multiple Foot Locker outlets.
The iconic global footwear retailer’s move into Iloilo City comes at a time when spending on athletic wear is on the rise in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines.
According to Euromonitor market data, the demand for athletic footwear and apparel has experienced significant growth in the region, driven by an increasing focus on health, fitness, and lifestyle. As the Philippines’ youth culture becomes more intertwined with sports and self-expression, brands like Nike, Adidas, and other global names are seeing strong sales in the market.
