The Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF) is now accepting entries for the Sanaysay ng Taon 2022.
The Sanaysay ng Taon is a yearly contest organized by the KWF that urges Filipino essayists to submit their original work. The competition is open to everyone except KWF officials and their relatives.
The theme for this year is “Filipino and Indigenous Languages: Research and Discovery Tools.”
The essays must be written in Filipino, original, unpublished and not translated from another language. They also must be at least 15 pages but not more than 30 pages. In addition to research, the way it is written must adhere to the KWF Manwal sa Masinop na Pagsulat.
In addition, the entry should be in the (.doc format,) Arial 12 pt., single space, A4 size with a one-inch margin on all sides; and contestants must submit their works under a pen name that gives no hint of their real name.
Along with the essay, the following should be submitted in pdf format:
- Notarized affidavit that that the work is original;
- Entry form;
- Curriculum vitae and/or bionote;
- A 2×2 picture of the contestant in .jpeg format; and
- A copy of a valid ID.
All nominees can send the said documents at Lupon sa Sanaysay ng Taon Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino 2/P Gusali Watson, 1610 Kalye J.P. Laurel San Miguel, Maynila.
KWF would be accepting entries until June 20, 2022, 5pm.
