ROXAS City, Capiz — The families of two individuals will file murder and frustrated murder cases against the suspect who stabbed their relatives Saturday evening at Sitio Casay, Barangay Agtatacay Sur, Sapian, Capiz.
Police identified the suspect as Ben Cuason, 34, of Agtatacay while the victims were identified as Jurly Evangelio 38, also of Agtatacay; and Amor Dela Cruz, 38, of Barangay Agsilab also in Sapian.
According to Police Staff Sergeant Gevie Villasis, Sapian PNP investigator, the victims were about to ride a motorcycle owned by Amor Dela Cruz when the suspect arrived and repeatedly stabbed them.
Cuason’s house is located along the road where the motorcycle was also parked.
Villasis said Evangelio was able to run and seek help from his family who called an ambulance to bring them to the hospital.
Evangelio died few minutes later.
Villasis said they arrested Cuason after a hot pursuit operation. The suspect denied attacking the victims.
Murder and frustrated murder will be filed against the suspect who is presently detained at the police station. The motive, however, remains uncertain.
