Man hunted for killing traffic aide

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Police launched a manhunt operation against a person who shot dead a 31-year-old traffic auxiliary early Saturday morning in Brgy. Dinginan here.

The victim was Marjun Barredo of Dinginan village who died of gunshot wounds on the head.

Police investigation indicated that Barredo was on his way home riding on a motorcycle when he met the suspect identified as Juvy Polao alias Udo.

Without any provocation, Polao drew a handgun and shot the victim twice.

The suspect immediately fled after committing the crime while the victim was brought to Capiz Doctors Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

According to Cynthia Barredo, she heard gun fire at around about 12 a.m. When she checked, she found her son bathed in his own blood.

The family asked Polao to surrender.

Meanwhile, police proceeded to Brgy. Timpas in Panitan town after learning that the suspect was hiding there. But he already left when the cops arrived.

The police eyed old grudges as the motive for the shooting.
