BACOLOD City – Police discovered suspected marijuana plants after a 52-year-old man was arrested in a buy-bust operation at Hacienda Lonoy, Barangay Hawaiian, Silay City, Negros Occidental yesterday.
The subject was identified as Leo Capablanca of the said village. He is a street-level individual, according to the police.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Mark Anthony Darroca, city police chief, said Capablanca allegedly offered suspected marijuana to a police agent after the transaction on the alleged selling of suspected shabu was consummated.
Darroca believed that the suspect has been cultivating suspected marijuana plants in his backyard for some time now.
“Medyo tago ang gin butangan,” he said.
Police confiscated from him seven grams of suspected shabu worth P47,600, the P3,000 marked money, P1,000, and two kilograms of suspected marijuana plants worth P240,000.
Drug charges are being readied against the suspect.
