BACOLOD CITY Mayor Evelio Leonardia congratulated Senior Inspector Norberto Miciano Jr. who was named the Best Jail Warden in the Philippines for 2019.
Miciano, warden of Metro Bacolod District Jail – Male Dormitory Annex Jail in Barangay Handumanan, paid a courtesy call on Leonardia at the Bacolod City Government Center on July 26, 2019.
President Rodrigo Duterte awarded Miciano during the 28th Anniversary of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) at the AFP Theater in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City last July 12.
Meciano received a plaque of merit and a medal for his initiatives and programs at the BJMP jail in Handumanan.
“Gapasalamat gid ko ya, unang-una sa BJMP Regional Office VI for the trust and confidence, sa mga personnel sang Bacolod District Jail-Male Dormitory Annex Jail and, of course, sa aton local government unit, especially headed by our Mayor Bing Leonardia. Kay wala man ini namon makuha kung wala support ng local, the national agency and the city government of Bacolod. Gapasalamat gid kami sa support especially sa mga programs namon,” Miciano said.
Last week, the Bacolod City Council approved a resolution, authored by Councilor Simplicia Distrito, chairperson of the SP committee on human resources and development, congratulating Miciano.
