Charina Magallanes Tan, spokesperson for the province’s COVID-19 Incident Command Center, said 112 swab specimens were sent to the West Visayas Medical Center in Iloilo City and they are currently waiting for the results.

Tan said aside from those tagged as patients under investigation (PUIs), they are also testing persons who came into close contact with PUIs.

As of Tuesday, Tan said five close contacts of the COVID-19 positive patient from EB Magalona town tested negative of the virus.

She said 15 PUIs have also tested negative of the virus.
