The Iloilo City’s MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) Center has launched its website for marketing and promotions activities to hasten its digital transformation and for easy transactions of tourists who want to visit the city.

“We have digitalized its marketing and promotions activities. Today, we present the digital system website of the office. The digitalization of the department’s operations has leveled up the bureaucracy of Iloilo City, as the city is more than just a MICE destination, we represent a way of life and this might empower us to support a defined culture that brings each person together through an enlightened leadership and innovation like the digitalization,” Iloilo City MICE Center director Salvador D. Sarabia Jr. said during the launching on Tuesday, Nov 15, 2022.

Sarabia also said that they will prioritize the accessibility of the website for the tourists and other convention-goers to “fully promote Iloilo City as a premiere MICE destination.

The MIcE digital system website consolidates various data like the MICE linkages to stakeholders and other partners, analytics of data which show the number of visitors on the website, responses of visitors, and other information about Iloilo City MICE Center (ICMC) that will also serve as the digital source of its daily newsletter about the happenings in the city, and a platform where the public can easily reach ICMC for information on incentive programs, calendar of events, projects, and other activities.

Govesmart Solutions Inc., the developer of the MICE website, also said that some features of the website include different content categories like “grants and MICE incentives”, “Iloilo News and Events”, “MICE Landmarks”, “MICE Facilities” that showcase the capabilities of Iloilo to handle large events, the food and drinks, and the travel and contact information of different establishments which are essential for all the tourists visiting the city.

“The major highlights of the website include these things and that allows visitors to quickly define or identify where the MICE facilities are located, and this will give a better view and better experience for our target people who are the convention goers, the corporations, the groups, whoever is looking for venues and events for conferences,” Govesmart Solutions Inc. marketing and development officer Jao Ortega added.

The MICE Center will also put some “digital kiosk displays” in the Iloilo International Airport and other establishments so that tourists can easily access and browse the website, while a QR code and link to the website are also available for others who just want to access it using their phones.

Meanwhile, Sarabia said that they target to have a million visitors every year, starting in 2023 until 2026, with a P1 billion target revenue per year.

“That is not difficult to achieve if there will be no pandemic, if there will be no serious threats to our security, the world is a little bit going back to normal, we would like to be optimistic because in marketing you would like to be optimistic, and with the help of the community, we would like to challenge everyone,” Sarabia added.
