The prized middle blocker of the Petron Blazers Spikers is leaving the team.
Mika Reyes, who continued her dominant volleyball stint from the De La Salle Lady Spikers to the Petron Blaze, has decided to part ways with the management she’s been with her whole professional career.
Celebrating winning tradition for three years, Reyes’ departure from the team will leave another hole as prized setter Rhea Dimaculangan also announced her exit from the Spikers.
After three illustrious seasons with Petron, Reyes is set to join the Sta. Lucia Realtors in the Philippine Superliga, one of the upcoming and surging teams after their fruitful off-season moves including Reyes’ arrival.
According to Reyes’ statements, she said that the main reason why she made the tough transfer was for her to go out of her comfort zone and swim the waters.
“I would forever be grateful to the team and to the bosses who pinned their trust on me. But all good things must eventually come to an end. The time has come for me to move on and challenge myself again in a new environment,” said Reyes.
