More Covid vaccines arrive in Capiz

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – More doses of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines arrived here for the continued inoculation of medical frontliners in different public and private hospitals in the province of Capiz.

According to OIC Provincial Health Officer Dr Alex Nolasco, 1,790 vials of the CoronaVac (SINOVAC) vaccine arrived from the national government through the Department of Health Western Visayas Center for Health Development.

This is the second batch of vaccines delivered to Capiz.

Nolasco said 2,440 vials have been allocated to nine hospitals in the province for the medical frontliners and other health workers.

Earlier, the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital (RMPH) received 650 SINOVAC vaccines which were inoculated to medical frontliners on Wednesday.

Other hospitals that will receive the vaccines were Bailan District Hospital – 180 doses; Mambusao District Hospital – 150; Senator Gerardo M. Roxas Memorial District Hospital – 120; Tapaz District Hospital – 90.

The private hospitals that will also get the vaccines are Capiz Doctors’ Hospital, Inc. with 300 vials; Capiz Emmanuel Hospital, Inc. – 350; St. Anthony College Hospital, Inc. – 450; and The Health Centrum Hospital, Inc with 150 doses.
