MORE Electric and Power Corp. (MORE Power) lit up its iconic Twin Christmas Trees on Wednesday night, December 4, 2024, in Iloilo City, celebrating unity, sustainability, and community spirit this holiday season.

The Unity Christmas Tree at Plaza Libertad and the Harmony Christmas Tree at Jaro Plaza were crafted from recycled materials, symbolizing MORE Power’s commitment to environmental responsibility and togetherness. This year’s addition of a bucket truck to the display reflects the company’s dedication to progress and uplifting lives.

During the lighting ceremony, Iloilo City Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon, Councilor Candice Tupas, MORE Power President and CEO Roel Castro, VP of Energy Sourcing and Regulatory Niel Parcon, and VP of Customer Care and Marketing Ma. Cristina Cabalhin initiated the first donations to the giant Donation Box beneath the Twin Christmas Trees.

The donation drive, themed “Spread the Love and Give MORE,” encourages Ilonggos to contribute to support those in need, embodying the true spirit of Christmas.

Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon praised the event, describing the ceremony as a symbolic moment of MORE Power’s renewed commitment to making the holidays memorable for Iloilo residents.

MORE Power President Roel Castro reiterated the company’s dedication to the community.

“We are deeply grateful for the chance to give back to our fellow Ilonggos this holiday season,” Castro said. “The giant donation box beneath our Unity Christmas Tree symbolizes a simple yet powerful way to spread joy, hope, and generosity. We warmly invite everyone to join us in making this Christmas brighter by sharing kindness and supporting our fellow Ilonggos.”

He also urged the public to reflect on the essence of the season.

“This Christmas Tree reminds us to embrace the real essence of Christmas — sharing and giving, especially to our less fortunate brothers and sisters,” Castro said.

Visitors are encouraged to take photos and videos with the Twin Christmas Trees and contribute to the Donation Box. Ilonggos are invited to share their holiday moments online and tag MORE Power to spread the festive spirit across Iloilo and beyond.

This holiday season, MORE Power brings the light of unity, joy, and giving to Iloilo, making Christmas brighter for everyone.
